What's a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)?

An RVT is someone who has graduated from an AVMA Accredited College with a Degree in Veterinary Technology, passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam, Passed Federal and State Background checks, approved and licensed by the state of Ohio and required by law to Continue Education every year in order to maintain their Title as an RVT.

What tasks are RVT's responsible for?

An RVT is the backbone of Veterinary Medicine. More than 90% of Pet Parents are unaware of what skills and knowledge their Pet's RVT posses...
The typical role for 1 RVT to fill in the same day includes:
Anesthesiologist, Homeostasis Monitor, Radiologist, Phlebotomist, Groomer, Surgical Assistant, Customer Service Rep, Sterilization Tech, Pharmacologist, Nurse, Dental Hygienist, Infectious/Communicable Disease and Isolation Expert, Laboratory Tech, Public Educator, Mathematician, Fear Free Restrainer, Behaviorist, Drug/Medication/Vaccine Administrator, Nutritionist, Behaviorist and Grief Guide.
Did we mention the above responsibilities vary for each species?
Your Pets truly are in the most compassionate, trustworthy and professional hands.

Is there anything RVT's aren't able to do?

RVT's legally are not allowed to do 3 things:

   Diagnose

   Prescribe Medications

   Preform Surgery

These three responsibilities can only be preformed by your Pet's Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). RVT's do everything else!

My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?
